MAYOR’S LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
The Mayor’s Leadership Program was created to provide Mayor Youth Advisory Council members with opportunities to participate in the community through their involvement with various service clubs, community organizations and local government (going to meetings, serving on a committee, participating in events). This will also provide those educational and developmental opportunities that will enhance the leadership skills of the members of the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council.
As part of the Leadership development of the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council members we make arrangements with various local community leaders, county, state and federal leaders to meet with the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council members. This is done in an open round table discussion as part of their leadership development so as to provide them with an opportunity to practice their leadership skills.
